Is it possible to bleach my black canvas bag white? - is it possible to bleach converse

Maybe not pure white but brown or white, like the regular screen. I'm not about to be like the color, the color because I think anyway .. but I am concerned about ruining the fabric worried. Can anyone tell me whether it is a good idea or not? I've tried bleaching with Clorox, but nothing.
